East Petersburg, PA is located three miles northwest of Lancaster City and has a population of about 4500. It is on route 72 which is also called the Manheim Pike. The borough itself is sixty years old, but the town dates to the Revolutionary War and before. There are lovely parks and East Petersburg is the home to Root’s Market which is open on Tuesdays all year round, and is an important stop for tourists.
